In January 2020, Janine recognised that her business had grown to a point where she required additional support to deliver services. Over the following 12 month period, Janine sought out a small team of highly experienced ASB practitioners. Each bring vast knowledge of delivering ASB services in a policing, council and housing environment, possessing skills that complement and enhance the work of Janine Green ASB.

Harvinder Saimbhi – Lead Associate for Service Development

Harvinder is an expert in community safety, she has held several prominent positions, her last being Head of Operational Delivery of Anti-Social Behaviour and Security Services for Leeds City Council. She has led major service reviews on ASB, noise nuisance, hate crime and CCTV.

Harvinder was invited to contribute to the revised frontline professional statutory guidance by the Home Office ASB Advisory Board and has conducted peer support reviews.

Harvinder has been a guest speaker at national community safety conferences, to share innovative models of good practice and has received special recognition awards for community safety and the development of hate crime services.

Harvinder with be supporting Janine in a range of ways, particularly helping to review ASB services and helping clients identify actions plans for continuous improvement.

Jim Nixon  – Lead Associate for Practitioner Support

Jim has been working in the field of Community Safety and ASB for over 25 years.

He started his career in 1995 working for West Midlands Police where he reached the rank of sergeant and specialised in Neighbourhood Policing. During this period, he made very good use of the civil injunction to tackle criminality and improve communities.

Jim has experience tackling ASB in the housing sector and more recently as the ASB Operational Lead for a Midlands based local authority. During his tenure, ASB has reduced by over 50% in some of the more challenging areas.

Jim also has extensive practical experience using the tools and powers from the ASB, Crime and Policing Act 2014.

Jim provides a wide range of services but particularly provides support with regards to intermediate and advanced level ASB training courses, as well as case reviews and reviewing ASB policy and procedure.

Sharon Murphy – Lead Associate for Harm Centred Practices  

Sharon Murphy is an experienced community safety specialist. She works closely with the Police, mental health services, substance misuse partners, children’s & adult services, to name but a few, successfully delivering training and guidance on the use of the ASB, Crime & Policing Act 2014. She has implemented PSPOs; applied for countless Injunctions, including at the High Court; Closure Orders, full and partial, chaired the Risk & Vulnerability Panel, the borough wide ASB forum & the Community Trigger panel.

Sharon managed a team who were POP award finalists 2 years running. She was also awarded a Met Police Borough Commander Commendation in 2019, for her efforts in tackling ASB and crime.

Sharon has particular experience and interest in putting the needs of victims first and adopting a harm centred approach to ASB. She delivers foundation level training that ensures practitioners are provided the tools and knowledge needed to embed this approach within their casework.
